I am an anonymous student.

 I am outraged by the amount of homework that we get.

I am in the sixth grade, we get seven hours of home learning at maximum, the minimum is three hours.

It depends how how long it takes you, which for me is really long because I have ADHD. 

The minimum for my friends who don't have ADHD is two to three hours.

Not only does this not follow county guidelines, but that is a very long time to be doing homework.

Here are the violated guidelines as stated, I will list the exact document I got these from. :

2. Clear and definite in purpose  

3. Encouraging parents/guardians to communicate with the school if a student's homework assignments are excessive or not sufficiently challenging to the student, according to the parents'/guardians= views

6-7-8 grade students should get 75 minutes of homework.

Homework is not only a nuisance to children but it also puts a lot of stress and pressure on students, especially if that student is in a magnet as I am.

On top of this matter Homework limits a student's time for hobbies and things pertaining to what they actually want to do in life, 37% of what you learn is school is actually useful. When will someone ever need to know what the rate is of how many dogs Bill babysits an hour? 

Homework is banned / limited in:

-New Jersey

-Utah

-Connecticut

-Louisiana

-Texas

-Florida (Limits HW)

-Nebraska

-Finland (Banned)

Please consider signing to ban homework like other counties and states have.
