The Issue

I have lived in this serene community my entire life. It's a place where I feed the wildlife, enjoy watching them flourish, and revel in the peace and quiet that only nature can provide. However, the construction of a data center on Robertsville Road in Villa Ridge, Missouri, threatens to shatter this tranquility. Yesterday, I was overwhelmed with emotion, realizing that I can't communicate with these beautiful creatures to tell them they need to seek refuge elsewhere for they don't have a voice, they cannot speak out but we as a community can!

The proposed data center will not only disrupt the quiet that is so precious to all of us but will also pose serious environmental and financial threats. The plan to notify only those residing within 600 feet of the site is insufficient—it disregards the larger community, which will inevitably suffer from the depletion of water resources electrical grid strains and sound pollution imposing a financial and mental burden to homeowners.

Beyond that, property values will plummet, for one simple factor, who would choose to buy a home next to these centers? for those encircled by this data center. Families like mine, who cherish their homes, will be trapped forced to endure the associated risks and health hazards,  that these infrastructures bring. For anyone already battling health issues, it's unbearable to think of the added risks.

This encroachment feels like premeditated harm to our community. The location of this data center not only disrupts human lives but has devastating repercussions on local wildlife and the ecosystem. We cannot stand by and watch as the sanctuary we call home turned into greed over community.

We need to unite and make our voices heard. It's imperative to pressure local authorities to reconsider the construction of this data center in such a sensitive and cherished area. Join me in protecting our homes, our health, and our natural surroundings from irreversible damage. The community deserves a vote on what goes into our communities with appropriate notice of a vote. We the people should have a say of what goes into our communities as we are the ones living in them.

Please sign this petition to stop the construction of the data center on Robertsville Road and IN OUR COUNTY! and protect our environment, our health, and our legacy for future generations.
