ICYMI: PHCPA leaders Candice, Edson, Karina, and Andrew were featured in KCRW's story about battery storage and its expected roles in renewable energy efforts and data centers.
To be clear, we are not opposed to efforts supporting renewable energy. And by the way, battery storage is not green energy by default -- it can also store energy from coal and gas power plants.
However, we are opposed to having unchecked industrial developments forced upon our communities without transparency, without our participation, and without proof that proposed mitigation strategies actually keep us safe from potential hazards and catastrophic events.
