It is important for the United Nations to remove the United Kingdom from any mediation role in Cyprus BECAUSE:

1. the UK is part of the so-called 'Cyprus problem'

2. the UK is only interested to protect its significant colonialism-era benefits

3. by definition, a truly just solution for Cypriots would be anti-British

4. the status quo serves perfectly British interests in Cyprus

5. in doing so the United Nations safeguards its reputation as an honest broker

Είναι σημαντικό για τα Ηνωμένα Έθνη να απομακρύνουν το ΗΒ από τον όποιο διαμεσολαβητικό ρόλο στην Κύπρο ΔΙΟΤΙ:

1. το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο αποτελεί μέρος του προβλήματος

2. το ΗΒ ενδιαφέρεται μόνο να διαιωνίσει τα αποικιοκρατικά του προνόμια

3. εξ' ορισμού μία αυθεντικά δίκαιη λύση θα ήταν αντι-Βρετανική

4. η παρούσα κατάσταση εξυπηρετεί ιδανικά τα Βρετανικά συμφέροντα στην Κύπρο

5. έτσι τα Ηνωμένα Έθνη προστατεύουν τη φήμη τους ως δίκαιος διαμεσολαβητής
