WE ARE LIVING HISTORY, NOT A PUNCHLINE: WE DEMAND RESPECT FOR BLACK DIGNITY

This is an urgent call to action for the Afro-Honduran community, the Garifuna Nation, the Caribbean and U.S. diaspora, and THE GLOBAL AFRO-DESCENDANT COMMUNITY AT LARGE. We call upon every human being committed to rooting out racism to stand with us.

Honduran content creator "El Supremo" (Lester Cardona / User: https://www.facebook.com/Supremotok has crossed a line. In recent viral videos, he openly admitted to practicing racial discrimination and labor exclusion, using slurs and statements such as:

1. "the problem is that you are black"
2. "I don't hire Black people." ("Yo no contrato negros")
3. "I don't like having Black people in my workplace."
4. "Blacks are 'pícaros' (thieves/crooks)."

WHY THIS MATTERS: The Garifuna People are the living embodiment of Caribbean resistance. From our origins in St. Vincent to our arrival in Honduras over 227 years ago, we have survived exile and systemic marginalization while keeping our culture, language, and dignity intact. Allowing an influencer to use his platform to peddle colonial stereotypes depicting Black people as "thieves" or "unfit for work" is not "comedy"; it is cultural violence. It is a direct assault on our ancestors' memory and our children's future.

RACISM IS NOT AN OPINION; IT IS HATE SPEECH. By spreading and monetizing this hate, this user violates international Human Rights standards and Meta and TikTok's own Community Guidelines. Attempting to disguise bigotry as "humor," or hiding behind the cowardly excuse of "having Black friends," is an unacceptable mockery.

OUR DEMAND: We call on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok to enforce their "Zero Tolerance" policies on Hate Speech. We demand the IMMEDIATE DEPLATFORMING of the account "SupremoTok".

To our Garifuna brothers and sisters and anti-racist allies worldwide: Our dignity is non-negotiable. Sign this petition to stop the normalization of anti-Black hate on social media.

SOMOS HISTORIA VIVA, NO UN CHISTE: EXIGIMOS RESPETO A LA DIGNIDAD AFRODESCENDIENTE

Esta petición es un llamado urgente a la comunidad Afrohondureña, al Pueblo Garífuna, a la diáspora en el Caribe y Estados Unidos, A TODA LA COMUNIDAD AFRODESCENDIENTE DEL MUNDO EN GENERAL,  y a todo ser humano que luche por erradicar el racismo.

El creador de contenido hondureño "El Supremo" (Lester Cardona / Usuario: https://www.facebook.com/Supremotok ha cruzado una línea roja. En videos recientes, ha confesado abiertamente su racismo y discriminación laboral con frases como:

• "lo que pasa es que sos negro"
• "Yo no contrato negros"
• "En mi trabajo no me gusta que hayan negros"
• "Son muy pícaros los negros"

¿POR QUÉ ESTO ES GRAVE? El Pueblo Garífuna es la historia viva de la resistencia en el Caribe. Desde San Vicente hasta nuestra llegada a Honduras hace más de 227 años, hemos sobrevivido al destierro y la marginación manteniendo intacta nuestra cultura, lengua y dignidad. Permitir que un influencer utilice su plataforma para revivir estereotipos coloniales ("el negro pícaro", "el negro no apto para trabajar") no es "comedia"; es violencia cultural. Es un ataque directo a la memoria de nuestros ancestros y al futuro de nuestros hijos.

EL RACISMO NO ES OPINIÓN, ES DELITO. Al difundir y monetizar este odio, este usuario viola los estándares internacionales de Derechos Humanos y las propias normas de Meta y TikTok. Intentar disfrazarlo de "humor" o escudarse en "tener amigos negros" es una burla inaceptable.

NUESTRA DEMANDA: Exigimos a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) y TikTok que apliquen sus políticas de "Cero Tolerancia al Odio" y procedan a la ELIMINACIÓN INMEDIATA DE LA CUENTA "SupremoTok".
