Say No to New Coal Mines in the Elk Valley!

In the Elk Valley of southeastern British Columbia Grizzly Bears are in a 40% decline and Elk are in a 50% decline. The valley is being destroyed by open pit coal mining and the creatures are suffering. People living in the area breathe coal dust 24/7, the snow is black, it rains black, everything is covered in a black, oily soot from the coal mines. Animals drink from the Elk River and tributaries that are at a critical selenium level from the coal mines dumping waste into the waters.
