Appalachian Trail guide books, "authored" by Artificial Intelligence, are littered with misinformation. Publishing houses like Ingram and sellers like Amazon are offering these books without verified information. 

We call upon the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and the Appalachian Long Distance Hiker Association to help protect our community of hikers from fatal misinformation. Please work together to create a system of verification for maps, foraging, and other pertinent documents related to surviving the wilderness, and commit to only selling guides with factual scientifically proven information.
