No AI in Weapons - Toward a World Without War

No AI in Weapons - Toward a World Without War
The Issue
We, the people of Earth, declare that we do not want weapons to decide our future.
Leaders, industries, and fearful politics push us toward conflict, everywhere and anywhere, but ordinary people do not want to kill each other. We do not want our family members to be harmed in any way or become killers. We want peace, we want dignity, safe space for our family, food for all, and to live a peaceful life.
Weapons are not built for us. They are built to use us, to turn humans into pawns of power, to protect imaginary borders, to uphold some peoples greed, and pride.
Immediate Demands (Step One)
We call for urgent action from the United Nations and all governments to:
Ban Artificial Intelligence in weapons of any kind. No killer drones, no robot soldiers, no AI-guided missiles.
Dismantle all nuclear weapons and end the arms race that threatens every living being.
Destroy remaining stockpiles and permanently ban biological weapons.
These are not dreams. These are essential steps for survival.
The Greater Vision (Step Two)
Beyond AI, nukes, and bioweapons there is something else, that needs our attention.
Humanity has outgrown war itself.
A future where weapons are manufactured is a future where people remain pawns of the pride and fear of leaders.
A peaceful planet means no more weapons development, no more weapons manufacturing, and it is in need of a new kind of leaders.
This is the horizon we should look for, a world where resources feed people instead of armies, where technology uplifts life instead of destroying it and where conflicts are solved by cooperation instead of killing.
Our Demand
We demand that the United Nations recognize:
AI-powered weapons, nuclear weapons, and biological weapons as crimes against humanity (immediate).
Weapons manufacturing and development of all kinds as a practice that must be phased out and banished from Earth (must be our vision).
🌱 This is A Call to Visionaries
Some will call this idea “utopia.” But what must we be, if not visionaries? Every great step forward began as someone’s dream of the impossible, like the end of slavery, the right to vote, the fall of apartheid, even walking on the moon.
Why should peace be any different?
Vision
We may not yet believe in a world without weapons.
But we can believe in a world where leaders are chosen for their wisdom and compassion, leaders in strong and grounded communication with their peoples everywhere.
A world where decision-making happens in councils open to all, where leaders rise from every community, guided by their heart and understanding of inner and outer sustainability.
If we want love and heart in our personal lives, why should society accept any other standard?
We can have heart at every level; in our homes, our communities, our nations, our world.
We can change.
If not you, who? If not now, when?
We can either accept fear, greed, and destruction as “inevitable,” or we can aim higher, which I believe we can, toward dignity, toward cooperation, and most of all - toward life.
If we can imagine machines built to kill without conscience, then surely we can imagine a planet where killing is no longer needed.
We are not naïve. We are very awake.
We are not powerless. We are many.
We are not enemies. We are one humanity.
War is not our will.
We are not enemies.
We are one species, one Earth, one future.
We choose life.
Although Change.org currently lists "United Nations" as the decision maker, we are calling on specific leaders, like UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, to act with urgency. Please sign and share to build unstoppable momentum.
