A national survey conducted by the National Association of Nursing Home Attorneys shows nursing home "STAFF" have witnessed at least 1 incident of physical abuse of an elderly patient in the previous year. This number is not only alarming 36% of nursing home residents have witnessed the same.  10% of Nursing home "STAFF" has committed at least 1 act of physical abuse towards elderly patients!  40% admitted to psychologically abusing patients!

These are the very same people that may be caring for your loved one.  They may be part of that 10% or 40%.  It may not sound  like a big deal when taking it to a national level but these percentages are too high!

Our loved one don't deserve this kind of treatment or to be left in an environment where there is even 1% chance of abuse or neglect.

We need Josie's Law.  We need in New Jersey and all 50 states.

We cannot be with our loved ones 24/7.  Having monitoring devices would allow the opportunity to check in at any time and help us to make sure they are getting the proper care and treatment.

My mother didn't deserve to die the way she did and I hope no one ever has to go through the pain of losing someone to abuse and neglect.

Thank you.
