Remake the original Legend of Zelda for Nintendo Switch
The Issue
For over 3 and a half decades the Legend of Zelda series has captivated and intrigued countless players. It has become a staple of Nintendo along with the Mario franchise. It combines exploration, combat, and puzzles for a truly joyful gaming experience. From the original top-down 2d games to the intricate 3d ones and to the vast open-world of Breath of the Wild, these games have provided hours upon hours of an immersive escape into a vast universe full of fun gaming and lore.
Nintendo has often brought previous games to newer consoles and this certainly applies to the Zelda franchise as well. Usually providing a method to play the game in its original form. However, every once in a while, they will take a popular game and completely remake it for the new console. Usually with updated graphics, quality of life improvements, and often even some new content, such as a new dungeon in the Zelda series.
Relatively recently Nintendo delighted their countless fans with a full-on remake of The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening, one of the series most popular games. This was incredibly exciting! Nintendo's legions of fans simply adore the opportunity to play one of their favorite and classic games.
There is one game, however, that Nintendo is yet to remake. The original Legend of Zelda. Little needs to be said here. Of all the games Nintendo can remake it just makes so much sense for them to go back to where the legend began. Many players desire to play this original masterpiece. However, many new and young gamers simply don't have the patience for an old retro-style game. Remaking it would delight new and old gamers alike! Giving the younger crowds a way to experience the beginning of the greatest videogame franchise ever and giving the more hardcore gamers a way to revisit and explore all over again the game started it all! This is such a simple choice of a game to remake. I truly am surprised Nintendo has not done it yet! Let's change that! Let's make our voices heard and tell Nintendo that we want nothing more than to be able to play the game where a legend was born all over again!
