The European Parliament has passed an urgent resolution calling on Nigerian authorities to immediately repeal blasphemy laws in Nigeria

Nigerian Women Lead and Nigerian Youth Lead stand in solidarity with the EU in urging the Nigerian government to repeal blasphemy laws that contradict our country's constitutional and international human rights obligations.

In upholding the EU Resolution we also call for the immediate and unconditional release of Mr Sharif-Aminu and others facing blasphemy charges.

Nigerian Women Lead is confident that Nigeria will be a beacon of HOPE, LIGHT & POSSIBILITY for ALL its people.
