Hi I'm trying my best to change the way Public Romanian Shelters are- yes I know there are many people who try to do this, but I think the more people who try the better. 

My girl Stella is from romania luckily not from a shelter but I see how these shelters treat animals. I see how they animals are dieing by just looking at their eyes. There hope has gone we need to be their hope! 

The law changed to the point where a public shelter can legally kill a dog after 14 days!! That's what they call fair this is not. They treat a dog as a thing, they treat a dog as a piece of meat! They are not they are a member of the family. 

I fundraise for a rescue but I don't feel this is enough I want to do more. We should all try to do more!!

I've been looking into the animal welfare in Romania of companion animals I found some information- 

World Animal Protection 

Law 205/2014 on the Protection of Animals includes basic anti-cruelty provisions.

Article 5 includes provisions for food and access to water, shelter, space, care and attention, and medical assistance and prohibits the ill-treatment and cruelty of animals by animal dealers.

This is just one part of the law. There is so much information- but it seems the shelters do not feel fit to follow any law in place 

I would love to try and change how the public shelters work- I would love them to give more care, I would love them to treat and animal as a living thing. Yes that would more than likely never happen - 

But I would like it if there could be a change to laws- NO MORE 14 days and PTS, NO MORE ill treating animals in their care, NO MORE starving dogs
