Hola gente ¿Cómo han estado? Hace mucho que no paso por aquí a dejarles unas palabras, por varias razones en particular. Ninguna de ellas se debe a la cancelación de la campaña, por si lo habían pensado, sino que son más bien todo de carácter personal en mi vida un poco caótica. Esto de ser un ser humano es complejo a veces, se enferman los padres, la novia, le sumo el trabajo y los estudios y pufff un caos.
En fin, no he venido a aburrirlos con las desventuras de mi vida personal, sino mas bien a recordarles para aquellos que están perdiendo el animo y la fe, que aun estamos aquí. Que hay un grupo hermoso de mujeres que me acompaña cada día en RRSS haciendo difusión, creando fotos y contenido sobre Barcedes, porque como ya habíamos dicho antes, esta es una tarea de largo alcance. Y si no han visto mi Instagram o twitter, estaré subiendo fotos de backstage de la sesión de fotos de #Barcedes, por si gustan pasar.
De forma mas directa, pero sutil hemos mostrado a los ejecutivos de Mega que nuestro interés persiste, todo esto a través de correos electrónicos a ciertos ejecutivos escogidos de la estación televisiva para hacerles sentir la fuerza de las barcedistas, así como también las distintas visiones a nivel internacional de esta historia (si quieren saber más de esto, envíenme un DM por Instagram o twitter y se los cuento). Como por ejemplo el cómo la serie atravesó barreras lingüísticas y culturales y que es importante por varias razones personales, sociales y de lucha. Un ejemplo de estas razones es que PNP es uno de los dramas más vistos y mejor valorados durante varios años, el cual no dejo indiferente a ningún grupo social que la vio, tanto en Chile como en el extranjero, y que eso significa que la historia de Barcedes es parte de una serie que llegó a miles de personas en todo el mundo, y tiene el potencial de que los medios de comunicación y el público en general puedan hablar de ello en los próximos años.
La segunda razón por la que esto es tan importante es porque los personajes que componen Barcedes son personajes fuertes, que se niegan a ser víctimas a pesar de todo lo malo que enfrentan en su camino. Ellas son transparentes y se niegan a estar ocultas. Les dicen a su familia y sociedad que se vayan de paseo, ellas creen y la fuerza de su fe movió una montaña, enfrentan y desafían la misoginia e hipocresía de su sociedad, pasaron y dejaron atrás la confusión, no por sentir el amor que sentían, sino por como lo enfrentarían de cara a la sociedad. Esto claramente no es una fase. Ellas no han asesinado a nadie, no han engañado a nadie, no le mienten al mundo y ese ejemplo de lucha por la libertad de ser quienes somos es una inspiración.
Por último, esta es una historia que trae a las mujeres lesbianas a la primera línea televisiva, permitiendo que el tema sea visible y no invisibilizado como siempre ocurre con nuestras historias, liderando inclusive un movimiento en la series de habla hispana que tuvo repercusión en México y que tiene su homólogo en España). Porque esa puede ser la historia de amor de nuestras madres, tías o abuelas, de las cuales hay muchas, pero nunca nadie las contó y destaca de maravillosa manera que, como mujeres, la sociedad las juzgará con mayor dureza que a sus pares masculinos ¡Mostrar esto abiertamente en televisión es una de las cosas que hacen PNP algo brillante!
En Chile ahora mismo son vacaciones, porque febrero es aquí como el domingo en la tarde del año, por lo que todo va muy lento, y muchos están de vacaciones y en Mega no es la excepción, pero distintas publicaciones y acciones dan a entender que no vamos por mal camino, como por ejemplo que el canal ha lanzado el procedimiento para la inscripción y registro de los televidentes internacionales a su canal de youtube para acceder a sus contenidos. Así que son detalles, pero bastantes los que muestran que podríamos tener buenas noticias pronto. Y solo un alcance gente, siempre hay que tomar en cuenta que, para presentar un proyecto, no solo se habla de una idea, sino una historia concreta, es decir ya delineada y definida, con lineamientos dramáticos y temporales, costos, personal, es decir, hay que decir qué se quiere hacer, cómo se quiere hacer y en qué plazos.
Así es que les agradezco que sigan respaldado este proyecto y siéntanse libres de escribir y preguntar, en la medida en que pueda responder, los mantendré informados. Sigo en deuda con ustedes con una sorpresa que está en laboratorio por más tiempo del que esperaba, pero saldrá a la luz, espero que en no más de dos semanas, así que atentos a las redes. Hello people, how have you been? It's been a long time since I came here to leave you a few words, for several reasons in particular. None of them is due to the cancellation of the campaign, in case you might have thought that, but they are rather of personal nature, because my life is a bit chaotic lately. Life is not easy sometimes, my parents get sick, my girlfriend gets sick, add work and studies to that and … it is chaos ;-)
But I have not come to bore you with the misadventures of my personal life, but rather to remind you, for those who are losing courage and faith, that we are still here. That there is a beautiful group of women who accompany me every day in social networks by diffusing and creating photos and content about Barcedes, because as we said before, this is a long-winded work. If you have not seen my Instagram or twitter yet, I will be uploading backstage photos of the #Barcedes photoshoot, in case you would like to pass by.
In a more direct, but subtle way, we have shown the Mega executives that our interest persists. All this through emails to selected executives of the television station to make them feel the strength of the barcedistas, as well as to show them the different visions on an international level of this story (if you want to know more about this, send me a DM by Instagram or twitter and I'll tell you). For example how the series crossed linguistic and cultural barriers, and the importance of it on a personal or social level and in terms of struggle. One of the reasons of this importance is that PNP is one of the most watched and best rated dramas for several years, which did not leave indifferent any social group that saw it, both in Chile and abroad, and that means that the story of Barcedes is part of a series that reached thousands of people around the world, and thus the possibility that the media and the general public can talk about it in the coming years is very real.
The second reason why this is so important is because the characters that make up Barcedes are strong characters, who refuse to be victims despite all the bad things they face on their way. They are transparent and refuse to be hidden. They tell their family and society to go for a hike, they believe and the strength of their faith moved mountains, they face and defy the misogyny and hypocrisy of their society. They got passed the confusion, not for feeling the love they felt, but by how they faced society. This clearly is not a phase. They have not murdered anyone, they have not deceived anyone, they do not lie to the world, and that example of fighting for the freedom to be who we are is an inspiration.
Finally, this is a story that brings lesbian women to the front line, allowing the subject to be visible and not invisible, as always happens with our stories, leading even a movement in the Spanish-speaking series that had an impact on Mexico and that has its counterpart in Spain. Because that can be the love story of our mothers, aunts or grandmothers, of whom there are many, but nobody ever tells them and points out in a wonderful way that, as women, society will judge them more harshly than their male counterparts. Showing this openly on television is one of the things that makes PNP something brilliant!
It’s the summer holidays in Chile right now, because February is here like the Sunday afternoon of the year, so everything is very slow, and many are on vacation and Mega is not an exception. But different publications and actions suggest that we are still going well and moving ahead, as for example the channel has launched the procedure for the registration of international viewers to the YouTube channel of Mega to access its contents. So these are details, but enough to show us that we could have good news soon. And you always have to take into account that to present a project does not only mean to present an idea. You have to have a specific history and content that is already defined, with dramatic and temporary guidelines, costs, personnel, … you have to say what you want to do, how you want to do it and in what terms. So it’s normal that this takes time.
So I thank you for continuing to support this project and feel free to write me and ask me questions. I will answer you to the extent that I can and I will keep you informed. I remain indebted to you with a surprise that is in the laboratory for longer than I expected, but it will come to light, I hope in no more than two weeks, so stay tuned to the networks.
