Hola a Todes, Todos y Todas:
Por fin me puedo sentar aquí a redactar noticias felices. Anoche en unos momentos emocionantes en donde seguimos los últimos votos subidos, se llego a las 15K a las 23:47 hora de Chile. Y fue realmente hermoso de ver que RECONQUISTAMOS la meta. Por qué digo RECONQUISTAMOS? como sabrán hace 11 días tuvimos una baja importante de firmas, la cual se debió al uso de programas maliciosos para recaudar firma (bot /spam). Es importante aclarar que el grupo de trabajo no aprueba ese tipo de conducta, si vamos a hacer esto, vamos a hacerlo bien. Después de estos días en que ha estado todo un poco lento, por fin las 15K brillan otra vez en el cielo de nuestra comunidad.
Y aquí quiero centrarme. En la comunidad, porque de eso mismo se trata la campaña del spin off. Es sobre nosotras, mujeres, lesbianas y visibles, es importante por motivos sencillos. Podría parecer solo un show televisivo, pero es más que eso, la motivación de fondo es la historia de amor, ahora más allá de eso, es la visibilizacion de historias de amor de mujeres que, si bien pueden tener un contexto adverso, en este caso como fue (y es) la sociedad chilena de los años 60. Mostrar que estamos, existimos y hemos resistido. Por eso hemos tomado como premisa el final del show en donde fue un final abierto, esbozando una familia homoparental, precisamente ahora en que en Chile se pelean los derechos filiativos de familias homoparentales en el congreso chileno, cosas como esta convierten la serie en una herramienta política, además de la belleza en que la historia es narrada.
Solo para contarles un poco el 27.09.2018 hemos tenido la hermosa noticia de que se aprobó la ley de adopciones que incluye a parejas homosexuales y dos semanas antes de eso tuvimos también la aprobación de la ley de identidad de género para la comunidad transexual ¿Por qué les cuento esto? Porque este es un país conservador, donde estas dos leyes llevan años esperando poder ser aprobadas, es por eso que para nosotras, como equipo de trabajo, este show también tiene otras razones, es mostrar también a muchas jóvenes, modelos positivos en donde verse reflejadas, por el alto porcentaje de identificación que tiene la historia en todas partes del mundo, mostrarle a esas chicas que todas lo hemos pasado mal en algún momento, pero que eso pasa, que todo mejora y que por favor no renuncien, porque Chile tiene uno de los porcentajes más alto de suicidios de jóvenes LGBTI en Latinoamérica, y tenemos otros países donde es mucho peor, entonces es también un mensaje de ánimo y esperanza, de que sepan que no están solos, que personas comunes con vidas corrientes también pasaron por eso y que no eran nada especiales, solo personas comunes que tuvieron el coraje y la fuerza para vivir quienes son y que si ellas pudieron, estos jóvenes también pueden.
Si lo pensamos inclusive en el cine y TV no tenemos una presencia reconocida; si hay muchas historias gays, pero no abundan las de lesbianas, como si fuéramos la negación dentro de la negación, invisibles primero por ser mujeres y después por ser lesbianas. En esta campaña la historia de amor es la excusa, la causa para mostrar un propósito es más amplio. Estas historias de valor inspiran y salvan vidas, no solo las queremos, ¡las necesitamos!
Como siempre, gracias por la perseverancia y la fe, en esas dos cosas se ve el amor por la serie y el deseo de hacer un cambio positivo con algo que también amamos.
Tenemos mas cosas preparadas, pero como siempre, serán una sorpresa, solo puedo adelantar que es algo que desean leer hace un tiempo.

Finally I can sit here to write happy news. Last night in a few exciting moments where we followed the last uploaded votes, we arrived at 15K at 23:47 Chilean time. And here I want to focus. In the community, because that is what the spin-off campaign is about. It's about us, women, lesbians and visible, it's important for simple reasons. It could seem like just a television show, but it's more than that, the underlying motivation is the love story, now beyond that, it's the visualization of love stories of women who, although they may have an adverse context, in this case as was (and is) the Chilean society of the 60s. Show that we are, we exist and we have resisted. That's why we took as premise the end of the show where it was an open ending, outlining a homoparental family, precisely now that in Chile they fight the filiative rights of homoparental families in the Chilean congress, things like this turn the series into a tool politics, in addition to beauty is that the story is told.
Just to tell you a bit on 27.09.2018 we have had the beautiful news that the adoption law that includes homosexual couples was approved and two weeks before that we also had the approval of the gender identity law for the transsexual community. What do I tell you this? Because this is a conservative country, where these two laws have been waiting for years to be approved, that is why for us, as a work team, this show also has other reasons, it is also showing many young people positive models where they can be reflected , for the high percentage of identification that history has in all parts of the world, to show those girls that we have all had a bad time at some point, but that happens, that everything improves and that please do not resign, because Chile has one of the highest percentages of LGBTI youth suicides in Latin America, and we have other countries where it is a lot of peos, then it is also a message of encouragement and hope, that they know they are not alone, that ordinary people with ordinary lives also went through that and that they were nothing special, only ordinary people who had the courage and strength to live who they are and that if they could, these young people can also.
If we think about it even in the cinema and TV we do not have a recognized presence; if there are many gay stories, but lesbians abound, as if we were the denial within the denial, invisible first for being women and later for being lesbians. In this campaign the love story is the excuse, the cause to show a purpose is broader. These stories of value inspire and save lives, we not only want them, we need them!
