I'd like to thank all of you for sharing, signing and donating to this petition. Without it, we wouldn't have hit the halfway mark to 1000.
With each milestone, this petition is sent to Niantic. I am incredibly disappointed to say, however, that they are yet to respond to both this and the overall backlash recieved. They have made a new major update post for the game itself, and have been responding to general queries about it, but our concerns are being swept under the rug at this point in time.
We won't stay silent. More and more people are becoming aware of Niantic's actions and are standing up to fight them.
If and when the 28th comes and the event is held, several people in Arizona have told me that they are planning to picket the event. I can't personally do this, however, others have suggested to boycott the app on the day and tell your friends to do so as well.
Additionally, if you know anyone with a large amount of followers that can help and share, that would be a big help! Continue tagging and emailing the folks at @NianticLabs and TriplePoint - i have provided some contacts below.
