Recently Niantic has changed the effectiveness of their Incense. Incense are items that lure Pokémon to your location. Before this update, they were boosted wether you were moving or stationary. Just recently, they have changed the effectiveness of the Incense to ONLY when you are moving it is boosted, meaning you get more Pokémon to appear. They have said; only 1 Pokémon appears every 5 minutes for people who remain Stationary.

This is NOT the way to go! So many lovely people are going to put their game down and forget about it! This game has been my pride & joy every day for 3 whole years! There are people who have been playing longer than me, and also don’t agree with this! 

Why don’t we approve of this “new” update?

For many reasons… Here is just a few that pop up in my head.

Disabilities or Disabled. Isolating or Ill. Weather or warnings. Not safe to do so. No where to go. No freedom. Need permission to leave the house. NO TIME!

I am here speaking to the adults, but I know there are so many children who play. They have now lost the advantage of using an incense if they cannot leave the house, or when it is unsafe to do so for children. From what I’ve personally heard, there are kids as young as 3 who play! 

Some people live in certain areas of the world where the weather can get quite awful and unsafe as well! Wether it’s in the winter or summer. If I must provide an example: Snow, blizzards, extreme heat wave, flooding rain, hurricane, high winds, hail etc…

Another example I have listed is others with Disabilities. People have ADAPTED to the last update with the stationary boosted Incense that was around for a long time. Almost too long that they shouldn’t take it away. People with all sorts of disabilities play. That could mean they aren’t able to move, walk, or even leave the house! Does Niantic care or want to compromise with the Disabled? It doesn’t seem like it! This game should be targeted towards EVERY audience no matter who or what you are. Everybody deserves to play FAIRLY.
