Thanks to all who've shared their stories of how group B Strep has affected them - please take a few minutes to watch the video of another mother talking about her daughter's potentially avoidable group B Strep infection. Please also join the "Why guess when you can test?" campaign at http://ow.ly/Qk0Zk. So many families have shared their stories of how group B Strep has affected them - some were lucky enough to know about it before their baby was born. Others only found out when their baby was diagnosed with group B Strep infection. As one Mum said, "My baby contracted strep b, resulting in sepsis. He was in hospital for a fortnight on twice daily antibiotics and numerous tests (which probably cost the NHS more in staff and resources) carried out on him. I am fortunately very lucky my little boy pulled through and is a happy, healthy very gorgeous boy. The fact such a simple, cheap and easy test can detect the strain [GBS] and potentially prevent such a terrible thing happening to other babies, is surely worth it. The pain, heartache and in some cases disastrous consequences are soul destroying. Can you really put a price on a babies life?" Keep sharing, keep asking your family & friends to sign the petition. We're so close to 200,000 supporters ..... Thank you.
