Give M.E. Patients Specialist Care and Reform NICE Guidelines

The Issue

M.E. is a debilitating neurological condition that is widely disbelieved and discredited by the medical profession. Unlike other conditions, the majority of the M.E. community have no specialist care, and the NICE guidelines show intensely damaging treatment pathways.

While over a quarter of a million people in the UK suffer from M.E., the specialist care and funding into research and treatment continues to decline.

Professor Sharpe from the University of Oxford's recent study published by The Telegraph shows how damaging and misleading misconceptions of M.E. can be. Scientific research has proven its physiological existence, so why is there next to no assistance for such a vast community?

Life for many people with M.E. is bleak and disheartening. But we want to change that. With specialist care within the home and reforms on the harmful NICE guidelines, patients can begin to manage their condition. We dream of a more proficient, educated medical profession, one which people living with M.E. can trust and rely on.

We invite you to sign this petition. To join us. To support the fight. Our time is coming.
