Recently, wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, DeSean Jackson, shared blatantly anti-Semitic posts on Instagram. 

"THERE MUST BE 100% CHANGE... THERE'S A BURDEN THE EARTH IS CARRYING THAT IT MUST BE RELIEVED FROM. THE EARTH IS BURDENED BY THE WICKED LIVING ON A PLANET THAT WAS MADE FOR THE RIGHTEOUS". This quote is from well-known anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. This post has since been deleted by Jackson. 

Jackson also quoted Hitler on his Instagram stories. "Because the Jews knows that the Negroes are the Children of Israel and to keep Americas secret the Jews will blackmail America. They will extort America, their plan for world domination won't work if the Negroes know who they were. The white citizens of America will be terrified to know that all this time they've been mistreating and mistreating and discriminating and lynching the Children of Israel."

Moreover, Jackson's Instagram story stated, "Hitler said". Jackson knew exactly what he was posting and who he was quoting -- that is undeniable. 

Since the anti-Semitic posts, Jackson posted a 1 minute and 40-second "apology". Unfortunately, a short video apology cannot make up for the pain that comes from sharing not one, but multiple anti-Semitic posts and quotes. 

We, people of all races, must collectively stand up against this hateful rhetoric. The Eagles released a statement this morning stating that the team will "take appropriate action." Together, we can make sure that the necessary action is taken: DeSean Jackson removed from the NFL.
