NFDC Parking clocks

The Issue

Stop the council putting more of a burden on the public

In January 2024, the ll day parking clocks will rise from £140 a year to £220 a year. This is an increase of 57%.

Short stay £30- £40 0ver 33% increase

We aren't getting any more for our, no bigger bays better for fitting modern cars in. No more maintenance. Though we see little to none.

For some, getting to work will now cost them a lot more when we are living through a cost of a living crisis. Had the prices been increased by inflation levels, that would have been understandable. But to increase like this on something that is already profitable for the council, it just makes them look greedy and out of touch with what is happening in most towns and villages. We are all trying to still get back on our feet after the last few years. But the council doesn't seem to care or listen to small businesses.

More fairer figures would be up by 10% the higher level of inflation within the last year-

Keeping it the same would be better but these would not have been as much as a shock!

Long stay  £154.00

Short stay £33.00

The council could do the right thing and reconsider. The effects that they will have on alot of people.
