“Covid kills someone every 8 minutes” in L.A. County, said Dr. Barbara Ferrer, LA County Public Health Director. “Ten people are testing positive every minute.” There are basically no free ICU beds and virtually all hospitals in LA County are being forced to divert ambulances elsewhere because they are too crowded. This is the state of the emergency unfolding in Southern California. 

And during this time, Newegg continues to defy LA County Public Health orders and is having its employees come into the office at least once a week. It is unthinkable to have to choose between one's livelihood and the lives of our loved ones. If we can work at home for 4 days a week and do a damn good job at it, then why are we being forced to come into the office weekly? 

Newegg had an opportunity to do better. To rise up and take care of its most valuable resource, its employees. The day that Newegg recognizes this and stops treating its employees as disposable.. And instead listens to and stand with its employees is the day that Newegg will thrive again. There are a lot of talented and brilliant employees at Newegg. We want to a good job, and we want our job to take care of us too. It's simple Newegg, just follow public health orders and please, value your employees.
