Northumbria Police has upheld its decision not to disclose details of the investigations into suspected arson at Woolsington Hall, following an internal review of our freedom of information request response. We have been advised that disclosing details of investigations could assist the offenders in evading detection and would impede Northumbria Police’s core function of detecting crime. We have also been advised that if we are dissatisfied with this response, we can raise the issue with the Information Commissioner's Office. If a member of the public believes an investigation has not been carried out thoroughly, a report can be made to the Professional Standards Department via professionalstandards@northumbria.pnn.police.uk
