Save Newcastle WildlifeNewcastle upon Tyne, ENG, United Kingdom
Oct 2, 2015
As the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government is likely to make a decision on Woolsington Woods imminently, we are urging all supporters of the Save Woolsington Woods campaign to contact Greg Clark's office today on 0303 444 8050 to let them know that more than 10,000 voices cannot go unheard.
All you need to say is that over 10,000 people have signed the petition to save the woods, making this an issue of national importance and urge him to factor this into his decision.
You can email gregclarkmp@parliament.uk with Woolsington Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne as the subject with the below message:
Rt Hon Greg Clark MP,
I understand your department will be deciding the fate of Woolsington Woods imminently.
An online petition opposing these plans (http://chn.ge/1JFAF3H) now has over 10,000 signatures.
Please consider this national outcry when making your decision.
Or fill in the contact form here:
http://forms.communities.gov.uk/
Anyone with a Twitter account can tweet:
@gregclarkmp Pls consider 10,000-strong petition to #SaveWoolsingtonWoods & #Newcastle's #wildlife #redsquirrels http://chn.ge& /1JFAF3H
If you can do one - preferably all - of the above in the next 24 hours we can show the government how much this means to us. It's important to act today and concentrate our efforts so the campaign has maximum impact.
