Northumberland Wildlife Trust has finally ended its corporate sponsorship with the Banks Group, amid concerns over the developer's 'constant applications and proposals for opencast coal extraction.'

This is largely a result of Defend Dewley Hill campaigners, who have been lobbying for an end to this incongruous affiliation.

We are pleased the group has finally severed these ties, which represented a clear contradiction to the aims of the Trust.
