If so, please can you email your MP urgently and ask her to protect Green Belt and wildlife by stopping development in Cell B1 of Newcastle Great Park?
 
Newcastle North includes Callerton & Throckley, Castle, Chapel, Denton & Westerhope, Kingston Park South & Newbiggin Hall, Lemington and Parklands – as well as parts of Dene & South Gosforth, Gosforth, Fawdon & West Gosforth and Kenton.

Subject: Cell B1 Newcastle Great Park 2017/0666/09/RES

Dear Ms McKinnell, 
 
I am writing to urge you to stop development in Cell B1 of Newcastle Great Park, which is not allocated for any form of development in Newcastle City Council's local plan.
 
Cell B1 lies within the Green Belt and forms an important wildlife corridor. If approved, planning application 2017/0666/09/RES would inflict great harm on this area, and the adjacent Havannah Nature Reserve.
 
Development in Cell B1 would be contrary to local and national planning policies and would have devastating consequences for people and wildlife.

I would be grateful if you would voice my concerns directly to Newcastle City Council and call for an investigation into why development has been proposed for an area that was supposed to be protected.
