The decision notice for Cell A and B1 of Newcastle Great Park has FINALLY been issued - 10 months after it was rubber stamped by Newcastle City Council's planning committee.

We are now seeking legal advice and will need to raise £3,500 towards legal fees for the permission stage of Judicial Review to fight this unjust decision, which will harm wildlife and Green Belt in Newcastle.

This could prove a lengthy legal wrangle but we cannot stand by and watch developers and local authorities ride roughshod over our natural environment, particularly in the face of a biodiversity crisis and climate emergency.

We hope you will stand by us and show your support as we challenge this unlawful decision in Court.

The recently published State of Nature report revealed that populations of the UK’s most important wildlife have plummeted by an average of 60% since 1970.

Destruction of habitat for houses is one of the causes of these drastic declines in wildlife.

We will be launching a CrowdJustice page shortly - please watch this space.
