Yet more veteran trees and hedgerows have been ripped up in Newcastle Great Park.
Given the Newcastle Great Park Consortium's track record on delivering nature conservation measures it is unlikely mitigation will be delivered, or indeed enforced by Newcastle City Council.
This could, however, change once judicial review is underway.
Newcastle Great Park residents have expressed anger and frustration at the lack of progress regarding shops and amenities on site and this was covered in the Newcastle Chronicle. You can read the article here:

If the proposed development on Cell A and B1 goes ahead unchallenged, then residents face losing precious parkland.
This is likely to be one of the issues raised at tomorrow's meeting with the consortium and council officers at Newcastle Great Park Community Centre, at 6pm.
We will be attending the meeting to raise questions about the apparent lack of regard for nature conservation.
