Yet more veteran trees and hedgerows have been ripped up in Newcastle Great Park. Given the Newcastle Great Park Consortium's track record on delivering nature conservation measures it is unlikely mitigation will be delivered, or indeed enforced by Newcastle City Council. This could, however, change once judicial review is underway. This is likely to be one of the issues raised at tomorrow's meeting with the consortium and council officers at Newcastle Great Park Community Centre, at 6pm. We will be attending the meeting to raise questions about the apparent lack of regard for nature conservation.
