We have produced the city's first red squirrel calendar to raise awareness of the important red squirrel population in Havannah Nature Reserve. All images in the calendar were taken in Havannah Nature Reserve by the friends of Havannah and the final photographs were chosen by Outdoor Photographer of the Year winner, Ben Wayman. Each page includes a different red squirrel image, as well as a fact about this iconic and loveable UK-endangered species. The calendars are available to buy for £6 on Save Newcastle Wildlife’s website and come with a card outer envelope, making them easy to post to friends and family as a unique Christmas gift.
