The Newark Public School District recommended teachers, especially PreK, should loop (continue from one grade to the next) for the upcoming school year. At the moment, Mrs. Frungillo (Sir Isaac Newton Elementary School, Newark, NJ) isn’t expected to loop with her PreK 3 (2020-2021) students. Unfortunately, neither the parents or Mrs. Frungillo have a substantial reason as to why she will no longer teach our scholars. We, the parents of classroom 105 and our allies, can change that. 

Mrs. Frungillo has formed lasting relationships with her families as she, like many other educators, taught under unique circumstances. Virtual became our new norm and everyone adjusted - forming a village and partnership for the uprising of our children. She implements rigorous materials appropriate for her scholars. She truly cares for the students in the community she teaches in. 

Let’s come together so our scholar’s get to experience Mrs. Frungillo outside of virtual. Placing Mrs. Frungillo with her current students will result in far better enrollment results. We have to show the Administrative personnel at Sir Isaac Newton Elementary that we are a strong community and we have to do whats best for our children.  Should personal opinions get in the way of this decision, many of us are prepared to seek other options for our children.
