Kia ora, Further to our campaign, Government Administration Select Committee (GASC) has heard submissions from NZ Fire Service and MBIE. Petition Submission: https://www.parliament.nz/resource/en-NZ/51SCGA_EVI_51DBHOH_PET71601_1_A541758/90cdb6d802c3900e85e85ed5760df5c3df678284 NZ Fire Service Submission: https://www.parliament.nz/resource/en-NZ/51SCGA_EVI_51DBHOH_PET71601_1_A554773/f79e73a5ea0f4002c51b59e1f0fed8891d7a14eb Our response to the NZ Fire Service Submission: https://www.parliament.nz/resource/en-NZ/51SCGA_EVI_51DBHOH_PET71601_1_A559423/2cb8152ee089fabf4820cc5a019f1dea3bbd1b67 MBIE Submission: https://www.parliament.nz/resource/en-NZ/51SCGA_EVI_51DBHOH_PET71601_1_A562368/068fce41a216e5603a62e7f58671cd31db8cc17b I have sent in an email to the GASC expressing my disappointment with the quality of the MBIE submission. Mojo Mathers has said "The response by MBIE to your petition Kim was quite frankly the most insulting and dismissive official advice I've seen in years. I'm furious. I expect better from our public service sector." on her Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/mojomathersMP/posts/1899948650271676?comment_id=1899957590270782&reply_comment_id=1899959720270569 I expect GASC will consider it's report around 26th August. In time - Deaf Action New Zealand is fundraising to cover the costs of NZ Interpreters for it's Election 2017 Meet the Candidates event on Sat 22nd July. Got a dollar or two to spare? Head over to fundraiser on Givealittle. https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/elections2017 Thanks for your support. Kim
