I’m sharing a status of how the pond looks as of today 09/20/2020. The pond is getting more and more swamp like. If you can see the picture, once the leaves spread out more to connect and block the flow, it will literally cause the pond to start over flowing. Homes will be damaged on both mill pond side and mill brook stream side.
Since I haven’t gotten the help I need on this pressing issue, I am reaching out to you, the local community to help out. I am organizing an independent Mill Pond cleanup next Sunday 09/27/2020 from 12pm-2pm. I will be there before that time and stay longer after. Show up and get to work. Dress appropriately. Bring your friends and wear your mask for precautions due to covid restrictions.
We will clean out the the ponds dirty water.
We will need fishers nets, rakes and a lot of garbage bags to clean up the filth. My intention is that after or while the the cleanup is being done, we will assess how clear the stream on mill brook side for the following week.
