Reminder: WNYC Board of Trustees Meeting This Thursday, Feb. 15

The board needs to hear from the thousands of listeners who are outraged by the firing of Leonard Lopate after 32 brilliant years on the radio. Management still has not given a credible reason for the firing. One week ago we reached out to board chair Mayo Stuntz asking for a meeting, and he has replied that after the board’s executive session on Thursday, “several board members will stay to meet with members of the public.” This will be an opportunity to start a conversation with board members about the Lopate fiasco. Our best guess is that this part of the meeting will happen around 11 am.
