Thank you so much for encouraging friends to sign. We are halfway to 500 signatures -- can you help us get there? Read on to learn how.
FIRST: If you have a partner, have they signed? Every name counts. These issues can divide households, and I applaud your courage in having frank discussions with the people you love about the relationship between individual choices and the harms of school segregation.
SECOND: If you are free tomorrow night (Monday, May 7), come to Jackson Heights to learn more about how parents can support the school integration movement. Dr. Allison Roda, (Molloy College) will present her research on a gentrifying neighborhood in New York City, and discuss her findings that in the absence of city policy for integration, parent organizers can have a transformative effect toward building more diverse and high-quality public schools.

THIRD: Our brave DOE educator friends have a petition of their own! It takes a lot of guts to stand up to your employer, and I salute these brave educators for making their voices heard.
