STRANDED IN NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY

A lot of people from Northwest New Jersey like to travel on the weekends. For some, this means they have to drive all the way to Dover train station to get anywhere. This is very cumbersome to the residents of Northwest Jersey. I propose that the Hackettstown- Dover section of the NJ transit system remain open on Saturdays and Sundays. This way Northwest New Jersey Residents can enjoy the convenient comfortable public transportation NJ transit has to offer.

            All New Jersey residents would benefit from this change. People who would like to enjoy a Broadway show or other attractions in the city would be able to take the train without having to deal with the costs of tolls, traffic, and parking. Commuters who work in the city on the weekends would be able to avoid those expenses as well. People who are looking drink in the city would be able to get home safely without driving home and endangering others on the road. This change would further allow every New Jersey resident to enjoy all NJ transit has to offer all week long and weekends. Will you please sign this petition?
