Anthony R. Bucco was an influential American politician and a dedicated member of the Republican Party. He served in the New Jersey Senate from 1998 until his passing in 2019, representing the 25th Legislative District. Notably, Bucco held the position of Co-Majority Leader in the New Jersey Senate alongside Republican Robert Singer and Democrat Bernard Kenny during a period of equal party representation. Before his tenure in the Senate, he served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 1995 to 1998. His political career also included serving as the Mayor of Boonton, New Jersey, from 1984 to 1989. His legacy continues through his son, Tony Bucco, who succeeded him in the State Senate.
