Wow! Look at the strength of this response by the New Forest Commoners' Defence Association - just as frustrated as I am that our ponies and other stock are paying the price of maintaining the Forest for the nation. They happened to have a full committee meeting last night and this is the response I received today from Chairman, Charlotte Lines:

"The NFCDA is fully supportive of the provision of average speed cameras. We have, over the years, spent considerable time and funding (received via the Verderers) in research and investigation to support the feasibility of such an installation.

We would question whether it is necessary to commission further feasibility work and instead urge the statutory bodies to move forwards as quickly as possible to action, rather than keep kicking the issue into the long grass. We remain frustrated at the lack of progress.

Mark Adams, from our Committee, would be happy to supply the original information and would be happy to speak to you or a relevant party, as appropriate."

I am hoping to be interviewed by BBC South Today tomorrow with the footage being shown tomorrow evening. #rememberjuma
