Taking the email experience to a safer horizon, Gmail is bringing a paradigm shift in the way it handles bulk emails sent to its @gmail.com users.

Owing to its AI-enhanced defenses, Gmail successfully blocks a whopping 99.9% of unwanted emails, keeping close to 15 billion daily intrusions at bay.

As it celebrate Gmail's upcoming 20th anniversary, it is reinforcing its commitment to 'user safety' by introducing 'stricter norms' for bulk senders.

As of February 2024, bulk senders will be required to authenticate their emails, facilitate easy unsubscriptions and stay within strict thresholds or their mails simply won't be delivered at all.

Partnering with other industry giants like Yahoo, Gmail aims to set a new industry standard for email hygiene.

However, the question arises - is this Google's genuine attempt to tackle the spam problem or just another blow against Net Neutrality?
