This weekend, Compassion Over Killing volunteers teamed up at the Nestlé-sponsored Family Fun Run in Springville, Utah, to tell the food giant that consumers are running from cruelty to cows. JOIN IN TODAY: Comment on Nestlé’s latest Instagram post urging it to end cruel horn removal & churn out more vegan options!
Our recent investigation of a Nestlé supplier exposed brutal yet everyday practices that can be seen inside dairy farms across the country, including bloody hoof trimming and hot irons being burned into calves’ flesh to permanently destroy their horns and growth tissue in a cruel process known as “dehorning” or “disbudding.”
Now, over 20,000 of you have joined us in urging Nestlé, the world’s largest food and dairy company, to implement immediate systemic changes to push the dairy industry forward by eliminating the cruel removal of calves’ horns and horn tissue for its products once and for all--and to churn out more compassionate vegan options.
And as the Nestlé-sponsored 5k got underway in Utah this past weekend, COK took this message to hundreds of runners, encouraging them to join the race against Nestlé’s nightmare.
