It was a warm summer day and I was going on a road trip. All road trips require snacks. I went to the local convenient store and searched for gobstoppers. They were not to be found. I simply shrugged it off. Later that same week I had a craving for gobstoppers once again and resorted to searching for them at Walmart where anything and everything can be found. To my dismay I did not find them and assumed they were out of stock. Once again I searched at the local target and came out with the same result... nothing.

A fear crept into my soul. I reluctantly searched “are gobstoppers discontinued” the result shocked me. I read “THIS ITEM HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED BY THE MANUFACTURER.” The world stopped; my head began to spin. I staggered and fell into the candy aisle. I was devastated.
