We're gathering for our THIRD week of protests on 5/21. EVERY FRIDAY 2-5pm at the corner of Neptune and Heck in Neptune, NJ. This is our job until Smurro is removed from the system, without pay, without benefits and without any chance of working with kids ever again.
What happens if the school goes against the protocol they swear they have to follow? Smurro might sue the school for millions for wrongful termination. But in a world where teachers have been fired for posting images of themselves holding a glass of wine, we don't think he stands a CHANCE.

The school is refusing to do the right thing for fear of a scary lawsuit. And in so doing, they are showing how little regard they have for the far more legitimate fear the local LGBTQIA+ community has of what it means that transphobia defenders face NO true repercussions in Neptune.
Do the RIGHT thing, Dr. Crader. The "proper" thing you're sticking to is unjust.
