Updates from Solidarity for Dr KC Alliance: Sat. July 23: Peaceful protest in front of parliament, Kathmandu: 15,000 people marched to push for Dr KC's demands to be met. Sun. July 24: 1000 armoured police face off 200 peaceful protestors in front of Commission to Investigate the Abuse of Authority (CIAA) headed by Karki. Six protestors injured, 10 arrested. Detained protestors on hunger strike demanding to know why they were arrested. Mon. Jul 25: Under pressure from supporters and government assurances, Dr KC has called off his hunger strike for now, vows to continue the movement. The parliamentary committee has summoned Lok Man Singh Karki tomorrow.
