Despite the petition of over 2500 people, members of local and central government, individual community members, national conservation representatives and iwi expressing their concerns for the proposed development, Nelson City Council has decided that there is no 'unusual, abnormal, or exceptional public interest' in the proposal and the public will not be publicly notified. 

Either its worrying that all consents usually have such a large number of objections, or NCC appear to be unwilling to represent their communities interests.

Clare.Barton@ncc.govt.nz to express your concerns about Kelly Conservation Forest and RM195314 and ask why, despite significant public interest that the public weren't notified as Affected Parties.
