Can you be a mate for me and the over 10000 refugees in limbo?

Today, my route intersected with Pat Farmer’s Run for the Voice. The Run for the Voice is a 14400km run around Australia over 6 months to support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament.

I am a volunteer for the ‘Yes23’ Campaign in Ballaraat so it was special for me to be able to run with Pat for a short time.

Every day, new supporters – including refugees, advocates, volunteers, SES colleagues and local community members along the way – are keen to walk part of the 1,000 kilometres with me to show support for the Walk for Freedom.

Since I started walking, more than 5000 people have signed and shared the petition, taking the total from 12,000 to 17,000. 

Signing can make a difference for many.

I’m inviting everyone who supports the Refugee Walk for Freedom to become my mate and a mate for the 10,000 refugees who have been in limbo for more than 10 years.
