Neighborhood Petition to Stop Super Star Car Wash from Opening

The Issue

The Holdeman Neighborhood Association is appealing the Development Review Commission's February 23rd decision to approve a Use Permit to allow a car wash to be built at 1139 W Broadway Road (former site of Burger King). The appeal will be heard by City Council on Thursday, April 15 @ 6:00 p.m.

Our Neighborhood Association is concerned this car wash will have a negative impact on our neighborhood due to the potential noise, increase in traffic, impact on our property values, and lack of compatibility to the vision for the Tempe Maker District / Broadway Corridor Revitalization Plan. The purpose of the Tempe Maker District Plan is to encourage the opening of more local businesses and increase walkability along this section of Broadway Road.

Please take a moment to sign the petition and leave a comment below. Please also voice any concerns you may have by emailing City Council: councilcommunicator@tempe.gov.
