The Managing Director, BMTC, Bengaluru.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The citizens of the Vijayanagar and Nagarbhavi areas, specifically in the vicinity of Prashanth Nagar, GKW Layout, Pattegarpalya, Malagala, and M.C. Layout areas are suffering from insufficient BMTC connectivity to surrounding important areas like Bashveshwara Nagar, Malleswaram, Sunkadakatte, Chandra layout, K R Market, and Green Line Metro. Metro feeders are also not properly planned and implemented.

This is leading to more people opting for buying cars and two-wheelers and crowding the already narrow roads in the area. Even in existing buses, people including women are seen standing at the foot boards and traveling.

To avoid the problems from worsening further, we are requesting that the following BMTC routes are implemented as top priority for the convenience of the commuters and daily office goers, and also women and elders who use the public transport regularly. This will also enhance public safety and bringing the community together, and improve reachability and connectivity across neighborhoods, and add further connectivity to the Purple as well as Green line Metros.

7. Regular stop in front of Raheja Park apartments, Magadi Road

Right now, the bus stop in front of Raheja Park apartments is only a request stop and many buses like K2 don’t stop there. It is requested that this stop be made as a regular stop so that buses going on Magadi Road stop there.

Appeal:

It is requested that all the above routes be introduced and run as per schedule with GPS enabled and operated correctly, so that the citizens are provided with good connectivity and public safety. BMTC provides a very important role in public connectivity and it is high time that the BMTC staff realize the important role that they are playing in the connectivity of Bengaluru, and Vijayanagar in specific.

We request your immediate attention and action in implementing these routes.

Thanking you and Best Regards.
