NCC just can't get it right - #NCC Weekend Bikedays

The Issue

NCC Weekend Bikedays are a great opportunity to experience the beauty of the National Capital Region in a fun, safe, and environmentally friendly way. The Kichi Zībī Mīkan runs along the south side of the Ottawa River, just west of the downtown core. It winds its way past popular shoreline destinations such as Remic Rapids Park, Bate Island, Westboro Beach, Deschênes Rapids Lookout and Mud Lake.  NCC Weekend Bikedays will run from 8AM to 4PM from May 11 to October 14 on Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday Mondays.

The closure of the Kichi Zibi Mikan causes a massive traffic disruption on Island Park Drive, Kichi Zibi Mikan, Scott Street, Bd. de Lucerne, Chemin Alymer. Pl. Samuel-De Champlain and the Champlain Bridge.

The NCC has failed to find a balance of leisure with practicality. Let's push the NCC to make a compromise. Reduce the hours to see 8AM to 1PM, or revert back to 1 day per weekend. Please sign, and please write to info@ncc-ccn.ca
