Dear Friend,

I pray this update finds you well and safe during these unprecedented times.

As I reflect on my life and the life of my daughter, I realize that as an African American I was taught to keep things in my life secret. To not truly express what was going on in my life and in my family’s household. Maybe it was a way for my family to continue to live based on the history they have endured years before my birth or maybe it was a mental blocking of pain endured that I had no knowledge of.

One things for sure, I didn’t want my daughter to be that way. I wanted her to have the freedom to tell me whatever she wanted whether it was Good or Bad but I definitely wanted her to tell me the truth. Just those principles alone made our relationship a unique one that was Undeniably Unbreakable!!.

Today, I realize everything I was teaching my daughter I will have to do for her Justice because without transparency there is no Justice.
