It was recently announced that NBC’s “Good Girls” has been cancelled and will no longer continue after Season 4. This comes as a shock to viewers after its return hit 1.6 million total viewers Thursday night according to TVLine.

Good Girls is one of a few shows for women, written by women, starring women, and lead by a female show runner. Its fandom is growing rapidly, and shortly after its cancellation was announced it began trending on Twitter with over 33,000 tweets—many of which from disgruntled fans incredibly upset over the news of its cancellation.

With NBC’s expansion to Peacock, and having so many new shows on the rise, it is upsetting and confusing to see such a popular and well-loved show as Good Girls getting pushed aside instead of promoted more heavily.
