First and foremost thank you for the support, we have now gone over 3500 signatures. Please continue to share, tweet and tell folks about this campaign and help us reach our goal. So what's a shark worth? In the competitions, that NBC would have you believe are environmentally responsible (more on that soon) the payouts are from $1000-30,000 but there are only 12 prizes so many of the sharks are worth $0, nilch, nada, zipa-dee-dodah. http://goo.gl/RvumHh Alive? Approximately $1.7-42M over the lifetime of the shark (http://goo.gl/9ICM4O). Incredibly that is not a typo, it truly shows a live shark is worth much, much more than a dead one. Finally, NBC have an entire 60 page environmental policy/book (http://goo.gl/ypLA4X) on how they should make and produce programs detailing things down to what type of surge protectors to use to save energy. The first line of the book says "At NBC Universal, we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment by changing our behavior in a real and measurable way. " Helpfully NBC added the key contacts that manage the “Green is Universal” program, so they have been added to the petition! Thanks again for your support.
