National Work Strike for Gun Control

National Work Strike for Gun Control
The Issue
It is time for a NATIONAL WORK STRIKE to tell corporations- including those we work for- to speak up and demand action on gun control.
It seems only corporate America has the power to force our politicians to do something. And when corporations start losing money from our NATIONAL WORK STRIKE, the message will be loud and clear: ENACT GUN CONTROL LEGISLATION NOW!
After the tragic school shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida in 2018, we attended the March for Our Lives demonstration in support of gun control legislation in Washington DC.
At that time, 96 Americans were dying every day from gun violence.
Today? As we struggle once again to make sense of this madness – the numbers continue to rise: 321 people are shot violently every day in the United States of which 111 innocent Americans are killed.
Each day 12 children die from gun violence in America. Another 32 are shot and injured.
We are all tired of listening to excuses and attending marches. We need to take this protest from the streets to the doors and boardrooms of corporate America. Politicians will listen to CEOs, CFOs, CIOs.
We don't work. We don't go to school. We don't go to restaurants. We don't buy anything! And we don't do free labor. We DEMAND change.
Once we get a large enough following, we pick a day this summer for our NATIONAL WORK STRIKE. Our objective is to get the attention of corporations through collective action.
Consider signing this petition to save the next innocent child’s life.
